Who We Are Annapolis Valley Youth Community Support Program is a government sponsored initiative developed to help at risk youth with substance use issues. Our goal is to team youth with organizations and groups within the Annapolis Valley that will aide and support participants in making responsible healthy changes to their lives. Through community support and a one on one youth/mentor relationship our goal is to better the lives of participants as well as the community as a whole. What We Do Link youth to: -Educational opportunities -Mental Health and Addiction Services -Navigate youth through the court process -One-on-one mentoring -Help identify new goals -Provide help with transportation -Connect youth with sports recreational programs and other activities How To Apply Applicants are referred either through an outside source or they can self-refer. Visit our office or give us a call to get more information on our self-referral process. Applicants are youth between the ages of 12 and 17 who are in a high risk category and have or are experiencing substance use issues. Once an application is received an employee of our mentorship program will contact you for an informal meeting to ask some questions to get to know your needs and goals. If accepted into the program you will be paired with a mentor who will help you develop a plan to meet your goals.
